Today on #meetyourteachermonday we will meet our amazing school assistant, Claire Ritchie!! Miss Claire is a student at Golden West College, hoping to transfer to Long Beach State next year. Her favorite thing about working at Los Altos is that she loves seeing the kids everyday and watching them grow up right before her eyes. They always put a smile on her face. Happy #meetyourteachermonday !! This week, we will get to know our sensational sixth-grade teacher, Haley Sousa!! Mrs. Sousa has her Bachelors in Communications from California Baptist University as well as her Master’s in Education from Vanguard University! She loves teaching at Los Altos for so many reasons! One reason is simply that God placed her here! The students are always so kind, diligent, and open to learning. She loves relating to the sixth graders, challenging th...em spiritually and seeing them make real world connections with their learning! She feels so blessed to teach with such a hard-working and dedicated staff. Today on #meetyourteachermonday we will learn about our fantastic fifth-grade teacher, Carrie Davenport! She has her Masters of Education from Cal State University Long Beach. She loves teaching at Los Altos because she gets to teach our students about Jesus! She loves teaching them to think critically, find the truth, and communicate. She loves to help children apply their faith and really learn to be a light in this world. Her favorite Bible verse is Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 We are so lucky to have her at our school!

Today on #meetyourteachermonday we will meet our thoughtful third grade teacher, Mrs. Whipple!! Mrs. Whipple is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton. She loves working at Los Altos because of the Godly commitment of our staff to the Word of God, the freedom to love and teach our children foundational Christian principles, and encouragement from Mrs. Martin to be as creative as we need to be to educate our children and serve their families. Our elementary school has a long history of excellence in instrumental music, as you can see from this amazing picture of the band in 1997! This excellence is still going strong today as we offer band classes and private lessons for students in 4th-6th grade! This year, we are offering a special discount! Time for another #meetyourteachermonday Meet our fabulous first-grade teacher, Miss Reeves! She is a graduate of Cal State University Long Beach. Her favorite thing about teaching is building deep relationships with her students. She also loves being able to pray and listen to the kid’s sweet voices when they talk to God. Welcome to #meetyourteachermonday , where each week, we will get to know more about a member of our elementary staff! This week, meet our terrific technology teacher, Mr. Wadsworth! He is a graduate of Biola University! (Go Eagles!!) Here at Los Altos Grace, he loves being able to help our students and families and staff. He especially likes being able to share the truth without reservation and to help students grow in Christ and prepare for a successful future. Hi friends! Are you missing a jacket or your nap bag? Tomorrow you can come and pick them up along with your packets. We also have a couple water bottles as well. Nap bags and jackets will be available for pick up between 9 A.M.-5 P.M. @ Los Altos Grace Schools - Preschool and Elementary
