Why do they say truth is the same as love? I have been thinking alot about this concept. It takes a certain strength in character to tell the truth to yourself and those around you. The act of vocalizing how you feel and setting proper boundaries based on your own desires and not around what others may think of you takes courage. You have a deeper understanding that by avoiding it you enable others and you make yourself weaker. The truth, something you practice acknowledging ...daily. I think we hit a crossroads in life in the tragedy we face... where we can dodge acknowledging how we played a part to get there or we deflect it on the cruelty of the world and the ill will of others. Integrity is for none other than yourself... for when you live as honestly as cognitively possible you operate with a certain level of clarity. You have an axiom by which you orient yourself. Your movements and words all have meaning, so when you feel anxious or off you can distill down when and why it started. I always find that when i feel anxious there is something i am doing or thinking that is not in alignment with my soul. You course correct and move forward with your newfound insight into yourself. Friday nights and P-51’s

I was a programmer/graphic design major in college and by a twist of fate with transcripts being lost and late registration I was forced to take a studio art class about 10 years ago...intro to painting...I knew it was my purpose, instantly and I quit college- and self taught myself after that.... When i first started painting it settled my soul like nothing i had ever felt before...It just centered me in this really peaceful meditative space. I struggled with depression an...d anxiety growing up and when I painted everything looked beautiful to me, the world felt different...like the pleasantville movie when they start to see colors.... In art, Im able to expel this energy that sits inside of me, its such a release ... I observe and feel so much that the counter balance is in front of the canvas. I realize that people forget how much we need creativity and expression in our world to keep us energized- an antidote to stagnation and a promise for adventure. My goals with art started as just a mere selfish idea of making painting my job because it made me happy. It gave me an escape from the heaviness i had not yet healed. Now? I want to show people that you can do whatever you want to and that fear stops all these amazing talented souls from doing what they were put here to do...I want to simply inspire people to fight for what makes them happy, to make them wonder what they could have inside of them. I know as long as i operate for others and be kind, my world will always flow ....even the negatives come back to reveal themselves as the right teacher if you understand your part from an earnest reflection. I truly know the heart of the world is good....anyways, a girl with at least one thing figured out. Sitting here is where i am meant to be. See more

Sometimes, you need one axiom of belief by which to orient yourself and your behavior...just like vision the rest falls to the periphery.

My next project... first in a series of vintage planes for a passionate pilot. I cannot wait to get the shine on the polished metal right.

Simple/pleasures

Mathew Kernan climbed Mt. Everest at 23. His dad, David Kernan hired me to immortalize this incredibly momentous accomplishment by commissioning me to paint him at the summit. To say im inspired, grateful and humbled to have done this work for such an incredible achievement is an understatement. Thank you for truly, an awe-inspiring project. Any time you make an issue in your life exclusively about another you do yourself a great disservice. You miss an opportunity to contend with why you were an energetic match to the experience. The victim never grows. When you observe what reaction is being triggered by something in the external its a insight into your subconscious. If the same negative people or patterns keep showing up in your relationships it’s because they are mirroring out a vibration you are holding.... Don’t like the situation? Look deep inside yourself and see how you fit into that puzzle. Are you getting used because the only way you validate your existence is by feeling needed by those in turmoil? We control no one, we only control our own trajectory of growth. The focus on the external is a deflection of a truth in oneself that is seeking to be heard. Taking responsibility for yourself is a heroic journey, it gives you purpose, every moment starts to have color and nihilistic thoughts dissipate. Narrow your focus. Dilute the noise. Where you focus will amplify the momentum of what you are attracting. Are you consciously creating by observing where your thoughts and mind go? Do you catch yourself when you are reverberating ideas that make you weak or negative? Your words have great power and are a consequence of the thoughts you are thinking. Treat them like precious currency. If you stepped methodically into your future every day where could you be? Potential is often a sullen word. @jumpfreefilms
