Long Beach CARES Funding Opportunity: Youth Leadership IF you need technical support for this RFP, please contact TNP at [email protected] This opportunity is on the City of Long Beach Planet Bids: https://www.planetbids.com/portal/portal.cfm?CompanyID=15810... FROM THE RFP: The City has allocated $170,000 in CARES Act funding specifically for Youth Leadership Services. Through focus groups and townhalls, the City has identified key areas requiring immediate attention. These areas include: 1) Increasing awareness of youth service organizations providing services during COVID-19; 2) Increasing opportunities, via the internet or through socially distant opportunities, for youth to connect with each other and/or with adult allies who can mentor and support them in determining future plans. The overarching objective of the Youth Leadership funding category is to ensure that youth in Long Beach, who have been particularly impacted by COVID-19, have opportunities to get connected to the supports and resources needed to maintain their health and wellbeing during COVID-19. Due to the rising impact of COVID-19 among communities of color, consideration is placed on the serving the high priority populations listed below and service organizations familiar with the needs of City youth and emerging adults, aged 10-24.
