November 3, 2020Election Day Arguably the most important election in modern history For Students, for Artists, for all Americans Voting is your opportunity for change... The American College Dance Association (ACDA) and The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) invite Student Dancer/Designers to help Mobilize the Vote for College Students. According to the United States Elections Project, voters aged 18-29 are the lowest group to turnout to vote (http://www.electproject.org/home/voter-turnout/demographics). This election is too important to sit it out. Can you help mobilize dancers and students to make their voices heard and to cast their vote? Move the movers! The Mobilizing the Vote for College Students Graphic Design Competition is open to all students enrolled in an American College Dance Association (ACDA) or The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) member school. The winner of the competition will receive a $500 cash prize. The design will be used by ACDA and IABD in their efforts to Mobilize the Vote. In addition, the design will be printed on apparel and made available for sale to the public. The winner will be announced on ACDA and IABD’s social media accounts on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 and further publicized by ACDA and IABD. By participating in the contest, the artist accepts and agrees to comply with the Official Rules. Eligibility: The contest is open to students who are enrolled in an ACDA or IABD member school at the time of entry. Collaboration is allowed! Students may submit designs individually or in teams. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or guardian must sign the consent block on the Official Entry Form.
