A prayer for the election: Dear Lord, have mercy on us. All of us. Wandering, weary, fractured. Open our eyes to see your great love for us... All of us. Wandering, weary, fractured. Guide us and guide our leaders. Let us be bold in your name Towards love, joy, peace, and justice And boldly against that which threatens Love, joy, peace. We also repent. Each of us and all of us. For how we hurt others, And sit idly by while others hurt. Guide our hands and hearts and minds as we vote That we would return with compassion and care for one another And for those who fear, comfort. For those who despair, peace. Lead us all to you. All of us, wandering, weary and fractured. May your church embody the hope That is beyond a political savior. Have mercy on us today. Bring peace. Amen. See more
