Samantha Brock "Sam" who served as the Traffic Division secretary for many years passed away this morning. Sam is remembered as a real pistol with a great sense of humor and not taking any sh#t from the motor officers. Sam retired in 2013 to take care of her mother who passed away two months ago. Sam was 75 years old. Rest In Peace young lady. Funeral arrangements pending.

A big thank you to Mr Yusef. A couple of days ago this kind person was standing in line at a local grocery store with LBPD Motor Officer Swaim. Swaim was purchasing lots of coffee cups as we had run out at our motor office. When Mr Yusef found out we had run out of coffee cups due to working around the clock. He insisted on purchasing these coffee cups for our team. Keeping Long Beach safe.
