Southeast boyz are back with some NYC shots on a recent trip. Tampa fam @brandon.burridge in our Tri Stacked Tee and Face Faders mask on location in the Big Apple. We’ve been quiet recently but it’s because we’re gearing up to drop a new capsule on everyone that’s fully made here in Southern CA. Just wanted to set up that Tampa - NYC - SD triangle because the LF fam has no borders. Additional shout to @_philporto_ on the lenses. More to come.

Final round of our face fader denim masks is on hand. These are made from our @coastdenim lightweight Candiani denim (greenest mill in the world fam) and are easily washable with wear (wash fades are greater than no wash fades on masks right?). Also - this next week we’ll be restocking our blackout antimicrobial ninja-style masks as well as some new iterations we’ve been cooking up. Dwayne The Rock @justin_calcagni with the SD heat wave kit (don’t judge us Arizona fam). Also, follow Justin as he is one of our LF staff fraternity members (aka he has a better job now) and is an epic photographer that makes us look better at surfing than we all are. Two things : 1. Thanks for being patient on the denim Face Fader masks...LA production has been hit with all kinds of recent variables with everything going on and so it held us up. We’re gearing up to ship... those ASAP. We love you guys and your support and grace there. 2. We were able to donate to a few organizations per our last post, mainly because of the support of all of you so THANK YOU. We don’t have any answers, we’re just doing our best to love our city, community, and everyone here in whatever small ways we can. Big ups to the whole fam out there. We miss see you all on the block. Major news coming....

Wow. The response to our Blackout Mask was incredible. We have our work cut out for us now. Our LA factory friends thank you all and our team feels super blessed to be able to do something proactive towards moving forward right now in a time when we are all fighting the same fight together. As of right now, we have shut down pre orders to focus on production and to get these all out to everyone in the first round as soon as we possibly can. All other online orders are shippin...g on our normal timeline and will go out ASAP. We promise we will release a second round for pre order again If you missed out on these masks, as soon as we can take care of all these initial orders. Regarding round II, it’s on our hearts to make sure we get some in the hands of essential workers as well so if you work in the medical field, are a delivery driver, or are front lines in retail (or know people that are) please reach out to our team here or at [email protected]. Our next goal will be to get more out to everyone in general, but also to save a portion to donate to anyone on the frontlines that may need them most both near and far. Ninja mask steez for all. Pt II : That intro bit on the last post was also a little anecdotal piece to share how hard it is for all small businesses in your own neighborhoods everywhere right now. There are people who have put blood, sweat, and tears into making something and we want to encourage you to support those things and be a part of what you care about. We’re going to go out of our way as a team here to get a coffee with a friend at our local shop, support our barbers, pick up burritos at the ...corner taco shop, visit our drycleaners down the street...keep supporting those around us that we want to see thrive and make it and encourage them along the way. In an endless news cycle of fear and hysteria, we’re gonna keep giving hugs in the shop. If you feel inclined to stop in, we’ll still pour you a coffee and talk. Anyone that needs anything, just to hear an encouraging word, please reach out to us. We mean that. We’re here. LF is open regular hours going forward and looking forward to serving you all however we can going forward, let us know if we can do anything to do that better. We rarely do longwinded pieces here but it felt fitting today. This is Sam, the original LF founder, just shooting off the cuff on where we are at this week. When we opened in 2013 it was both exhilarating and exhausting, fun and fearful at the same time. Anyone who has had a small business knows how brutal it is, the sacrifices you make along the way, and all of the highs and lows that come with trying to blaze a trail on your own. I can honestly say we’ve had the best and m...ost meaningful moments within the doors with so many amazing people, but we’ve also had huge setbacks and have been tempted to call it quits along the way as well (so many times). The reality is, we really, really love doing this and we really, really love menswear AND people. It’s a perfect fit and meeting, caring for, and serving everyone along the way has really propelled this thing forward because we really value those things, it’s not pretend for us. Thank you for everyone that has participated in that process with us in supporting LF in any way at all, we want to hug you all (really, we do). That’s all a longwinded way to say that this last couple of weeks has created new challenges for all of us as we face things we can’t control both in life and in business. What we can control is how we respond to our current situation and how we can choose to live generously and without a scarcity mindset. Our team has been committed to cultivating community and caring for people both in store and online since the beginning, and that feels more important than ever right now. This whole pandemic is a setback, it’s a real thing we aren’t downplaying, but it’s also not the end of the world. Let’s band up together and encourage our communities instead of hiding and hoarding (while listening to and abiding in the direction of our state and local authorities). It’s cold and rainy on the coast today but the sun is ‘bout to break out and we’re pretty pumped to see everyone today.
