Established in 2017 by Luis Moreno, Mobar & Co. married the worlds of coffee and alcohol together through a mobile bartending and espresso bar and grew in notoriety from doing private events, weddings, and parties across Los Angeles. 2020 was supposed to be their time to shine. The team was growing and business along with it, but as Covid-19 disfigured our conceptions of normalcy and social distancing rendered large gatherings impossible, the virus threatened to derail the re...al momentum they hoped to build on. But what appeared as an abrupt end turned out to be a new window of opportunity. In March, a trip to Central America revealed a unique moment to honor and respect the farmers that work year-round with little to no pay to accurately measure the amount of hard work and energy they pour into the coffee we know and love.
