Tonight, we open our doors back up for the first time since lockdown. We are super excited and guarantee a clean and safe environment for all of our dancers. We are 4 young women who all live in huntington beach. we have found that during these overwhelming times, there needs to be a safe place to grieve the black lives that have been taken by police brutality. The uprisings and cultural unrest in this country are all direct results of violence, racism and systemic oppression that people of color have faced for over 400 years. Growing up in Huntington Beach we have come to learn that racial diversity is offensively scarce. Why ...is that? We need to come together as a primarily white community and show love and support to people of color. As allies of the black community we want to shine light on their voice. Activism goes further than social media. We must go beyond. Sign petitions, donate, protest, educate yourself. Listen to people of color. Due to schools closing and activities being cancelled, and the encouragement of everyone to stay home during this time to prevent the spreading of the virus, Lokelani’s decided it is best that we do our part on preventing the spread by closing our studio until the end of the month. We believe that everyones well-being is more important than keeping the studio open with the concerns of possible COVID-19 exposure. Please stay healthy and we will see you in April.

Happiest of Birthdays to our beautiful and incredibly talented Creative Director and Lead Instructor, Nani Asuega! . Her choreography brought home Lokelani’s 1st place sweep in every category from our Kauai competition in 2019 and she continues to encourage our dancers to push harder, work harder, and always strive to perfect our dance techniques.
