New CHALLENGING class for you with extra special editing and camera angles!!!
it’s time to do some yoga!
Hello friends! We will be phasing out MBO at Loka over the next month or two. MBO may have been a good service pre-covid, but it's pointless at the moment. The on-line schedule and their services cost Loka $150 a month, and their credit card processing takes a percentage that equals $80-$200 each month. Currently, Venmo appears to be the best option. If you have classes left on MBO, we will make sure you get to use them all! Here's some instructions on how to use Venmo if you don't already. https://www.wikihow.com/Pay-Someone-on-Venmo
I bet you have a friend who could really benefit from yoga right now.
Now would be a really good time to buy this for a stressed out friend.
Here's a full Vinyasa 1-3 class with extra love for your wrists, hands and shoulders.
Someone fell asleep in shavasana tonight.
Because I said so.
You like twists? I like twists!
We’ve all been storing hella tension in our necks and shoulders. Here’s a 60 minute neck and shoulder release class. You will, of course, work your whole body, but this will remove that stress from your achy neck!
if you are in a position to do so, :: Loka Humbly Asks For Your Help :: If you've ever attended a class at Loka Yoga, you know what a special place it is and what a beautiful sangha (community) Dari Love Sylvia has nurtured here. Loka is not just a yoga studio. It's a peaceful space for healing, meditation and finding community in the midst of a stressful world. ... Loka has been there for us and for Oakland. Now Loka needs our help! Loka owes $8,000 to the landlord. COVID 19 has wrecked small businesses and Loka is no different. Dari has done an amazing job of quickly moving on-line and bringing Loka into our homes. But Zoom class attendance doesn't come close to in-person attendance (or payments). But the rent still comes due every month, even in a pandemic! While Loka can't be evicted right now due to the Oakland COVID Eviction Moratorium, that only lasts as long as there is a "State of Emergency" and even after that Loka will still owe the back rent. As an Oakland independent small business owner, Dari has made Loka a space for Oaklanders to gather, rest and rejuvenate. Dari offers free classes to Oakland Unified teachers. She opens the space up for poetry readings, meditation based recovery programs and even Spanish-language kids ballet classes! I know this community can come out and support Loka and help keep this beautiful sangha alive and well and here are some suggestions for how you can do so: 1. Make a donation here to help Loka pay the rent! 2. Buy a 20 class card or a Monthly Unlimited Class Plan at www.lokaoaklandyoga.com to help make sure Loka can open its doors once we can all do yoga together again.
