Thank you to all who have checked in this week about the current situation in the Napa Valley. We could not be more grateful for the tireless efforts of the Rutherford Volunteer Fire Department, Cal Fire and numerous Mutual Aid fire crews who have worked day and night since early last week to protect the ridge tops and hillsides south of St. Helena. The firefighting efforts in the rugged canyons behind our mountain estate property not only protected us and our neighbors, but ...created an essential control point that kept the fire from spreading south and east to Oakville and the valley floor. Our Farmstead property in downtown St. Helena is open, and will remain open until further notice. This includes the Café, General Store, Farmstead restaurant and our takeout services. Thank you again for your outpouring of concern. We are confident that our community will persevere and emerge stronger than ever. We look forward to seeing you here in the valley soon.

While both St. Helena and On-Site Farmers Markets are closed today due to smoke and evacuation warnings, we plan to operate a bountiful stand at the Napa Farmers Market tomorrow (Saturday, 10/3), in the City of Napa parking lot at 1100 West Street from 8 AM-12 PM. Market managers recommend arriving early and bringing an N-95 mask for smoke.
