Only 37 days until opening day in La Jolla! The grounds crew from JJ Perez Landscape are busy getting all six fields ready. They over seed the grass, bring in dirt to level the infield, apply turface to the infield soil, rebuild the mounds and home plate areas and more!! @ La Jolla

The LJYB MLB clinic Saturday was a big success with close to 100 kids coming out to see several major league players including La Jolla’s Bradley and Kyle Zimmer. Thanks and great job by Jake Grosz of Grosz Sports Academy running the clinic!

Congratulations to the Hagan Dentistry Bulldogs for winning the 2019 LJYB Bronco Championship! The boys battled through the loser bracket to get to the finals where they beat Murfey Company 11-5 to force a second game. The Bulldogs then won the second game 13-11. They proudly showed off their championship rings at the award ceremony.

Congratulations to the SoCal Seats Brown Bear Blasters for winning the 2019 LJYB Pinto Championship! They beat Bad Boy 23 to 7 to take the title and the championship rings.

Congratulations to 2019 LJYB Mustang Champs Taco Stand! They came into the finals needing to beat Capital Stewardship twice and they did. They took the first game 9-8 in a thriller, then scored 10 early runs and cruised to the win in the second game 15-4.

The Mustang playoffs are under way and The Burger Lounge squad is all in on team unity. The coach wears jeans and a white t-shirt everyday so the players do too!

The Bank of SoCal celebrated their win on Saturday with The Friar and members of the Pad Squad. Thank you to the Padres for swinging by La Jolla Youth Baseball!

14 former La Jolla Youth Baseball players squared off Friday night for La Jolla High and LJ Country Day JV teams including eleven players who played all ten years of LJYB!
