This summer LJR Arts Academy offers film production as a collaboration with St. John's Community Success Center and it's SAFE SPACE program. These are our babies that we mentioned who have had all the scary experiences in San Bernardino. When they should be solely focused on getting an education, having fun, and being a kid... they're worried about walking down the street.They're forced function in a scary environment. It's a huge distraction and detrimental to their safet...y and development. Thank God that they're still places that kids can go to feel safe (like St. John's Episcopal Church, San Bernardino). I'm thankful for Linda Pederson and the effort she takes to make sure the kids feel safe and at home... as well as offering opportunities to grow through programs like LJR Arts Academy, San Bernardino Ca. St. John's is definitely one of our favorite sites. The love is definitely genuine. In this video the kids are urged to come out of their shell by displaying any talent they may possess or talking about anything they'd like. The point is to just have fun. This is usually the first step in tailoring a program to their needs. Every site is different. We see what their interest are and bring in the needed arts educators that will help them develop their talent. Acting, Dance, Film Production, art, creative writing, spoken word, you name it...
