This Holiday Season, the we spread some cheer in the form of a meal delivery effort for seniors and members living alone! Approximately 75 chef-prepared meals, desserts, complementary fresh fruits and vegetables, and flowers were delivered by staff and volunteers. A grant awarded by the San Diego Seniors Community Foundation and a generous donation by Valley Farm Market made the effort possible. Chef Nikki Schaeffer prepared Roasted Lemon Rosemary Chicken Breast, Potatoes Au ...Gratin and Roasted Brussel Sprouts, which received rave reviews from recipients, many of whom have been sheltering for many months in their homes. Our goal in the next year is to implement programs like this onethat match our vision for 2021to connect with isolated seniors and find ways to meet their needs, with care and compassion, said Executive Director Nancy Walters.
