Keep the floor flowing! Make sure that your flooring flows between the kitchen and living area. If you have different types of hardwood or tile, try to match it up or carpet the living area to separate it if matching isn’t possible. Having the same flooring throughout the living area will create an open feel even if there isn’t one!
