Cleaning up after the holiday? Need somewhere to take your broken or unwanted string lights? Now through January 31st, you can take them to Elk Grove City Hall at 8401 Laguna Palms Way or Special Waste Collection Center at 9255 Disposal Lane. Large holiday decorations such as inflatables and lighted sculptures will only be accepted at the Special Waste Collection Center. They are open Sunday through Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 4 PM.

Wondering how to dispose of your Christmas tree? In Elk Grove, you can leave your tree curbside by 6:00 AM during the weeks of January 11th or January 25th. Make sure to remove all ornaments, lights, etc. and trees taller than 6 feet need to be cut into 3 foot pieces and placed in your green waste container. You can also take your tree of any size, to the Special Waste Collection Center at 9255 Disposal Lane.

Chalk It Up is happening this weekend Traditionally over Labor Day weekend, the sidewalk around midtown’s Fremont Park becomes a concrete canvas for underfoot artworks during the annual Chalk It Up art and music festival. Seems like an important meeting by the City of Elk Grove - City Hosting Digital Town Hall on Housing Topics to include the 2021 Housing Element Update and Identification of Sites for Housing All Income Levels On July 27 and 29, the City will be hosting online town hall meetings to discuss the 2021 Housing Element Update. Housing production is a critical issue both statewide and within Elk Grove.
