The plan for the county to purchase and convert the Ivy Palm Resort into permanent homeless housing has failed. On December 8th a bankruptcy court denied the sale. In August dozens of neighbors and businesses joined a monthly meeting to ask Little Tuscany Neighborhood Organization, District 2 Rep. Woods and Sup. Perez for a more clear understanding of this project. The neighborhood organizations refused to get involved saying it's board members wouldn't agree to help. Homeowners and businesses seeking information were made out to be elitists, leaving many to feel a lack of leadership in the neighborhood. The $10M will now be spent on 107 mobile homes in Mountain View Estates.
