I’m so excited to share that our Little Owls family has grown by two!

These two Little Owls have actually become big Owls! I can’t believe how much they’ve grown and become independent little toddlers! They have the cutest sisterly relationship with Julieta regularly hugging Evelyn and saying, I love you Evewhen!!

We had the best time celebrating Miss Charlottes 2nd birthday!

I don’t often share about my personal life, but I’m going to for two reasons. One, because I love what Jenny's Light is doing as a foundation to bring postpartum depression and psychosis to the forefront. Secondly, it serves as a reminder for parents and childcare providers to give the same energy to ourselves as we do to those we care for. I’d never been a very physically active person, and although I found myself in awe of runners I often thought, ...so like...why would y...ou do that...for fun? Only recently when I started running little by little did I begin to understand why. And today I found myself at a place I never thought I’d be - about to do a 5k, RUNNING.FOR. FUN. But as I found myself surrounded by people that eat 5k’s for breakfast, I began to think OMG, I’m going to come in last, how embarrassing. I quickly changed my train of thought when I realized I’d never allow one of my littles to have this negative mindset. I’d say something like, You can do it, don’t give up! Or, Even if you come in last, you’ve done it! I share this to remind us all to be kind to ourselves, remember to love and encourage yourself with the same energy you would your own Little Owl. Making the most of a rainy week indoors!

We made a trip out to our favorite farm, Emma Prusch Farm Park, just in time to beat the weeklong rain!

Happy Mother’s Day from our Little Owls!

We went to the Duck Pond Playspace for water play day last week and it was the best $ spent! First we played inside for about an hour then spent another two hours outside! There were 4 water tables, a small toddler pool and a big water slide - perfect for 3-5 but I did see some very brave two year olds slide down too! The sun fully joined us at about 11:15am and I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH - bring water shoes (we put ours on a little later). Other than that the Duck Pond has you fully covered if you happen to forget swim diapers, lunch, or sunscreen. We can’t wait to go back again!

It was a perfect day for a little gardening!
