All paws on deck, Little Italy! Unlike the majority of parks in San Diego, the Little Italy Dog Park is privately managed and so in order to reopen, the Country requires the park to be staffed during operating hours. The cost to staff the dog park 8-hours a day / 7-days per week comes to $1,100 per week. For those able to donate toward the reopening of the Little Italy Dog Park, please email [email protected] or call 619-233-3898. Please chip in if you can to help reopen the park for our neighborhood fur babies! #LittleItalySD #DogsOfLittleItaly : @titotheaussie

Ciao Amici! The Little Italy Association has received several inquires as to when the Little Italy Dog Park will reopen based on the Mayor’s directive yesterday, 4/20/2020, on reopening of public neighborhood parks for passive-use. Within that directive, dog parks were specifically called out as public spaces that are still closed to public access because of potential of public gathering. Also, Amici Park and the Little Italy Dog Park are not public parks, but the public is ...permitted to access the spaces when the Association feels it is appropriate and safe. Once we have received directive from the Mayor that dog parks are open for public access, we will determine the next steps for us to reopen the Little Italy Dog Park. To stay abreast of COVID-19 directives, updates and resources, visit www.LittleItalySDUpdates.com. Be safe and stay healthy!
