HAPPY NATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK! As a leader in the aerospace manufacturing industry, we rely heavily on our customer service teams to maintain our reputation with our customer base. They are an essential part of our operations, so we would like to take this week to honor our team by shining some light on the many important roles they play at LISI and the years of service (YOS) they’ve dedicated to helping maintain a customer service standard LISI is known for. The Cust...omer Service team at LISI Aerospace Torrance; Krystle Day (7 YOS), Cindy Barajas (3 YOS), Derek Nakamura (4 YOS), Monica Piza (6 YOS), Griselda Lopez (10 YOS), and Vivian Noeung (10 YOS), certainly have their hands full. The Team has been incredibly resilient and adaptable as we navigate business during COVID-19, both in their work environment and duties, while continuing to provide our customers with exceptional customer service. In addition to the daily functions of quotes, orders and all customer correspondence, they have also been handling our incoming phone lines, customer realignments and assisting with any necessary accounting correspondence for our North America (NA) and Asian and Pacific Rim (APAC) customers. This stellar team recently began a project to help capture business by getting feedback from customers on pricing and lead times. LISI Aerospace Torrance partnered once again with The Salvation Army in hosting a school supply drive benefiting low income students in the South Bay! Organized by their Site-wide Activities Team (S.W.A.T.), bins were left in common areas for employees to drop off donated school supplies. Although students may not be returning to the classroom just yet, online courses are still continuing and school supplies will be needed for many low income students in our community. As an essential business operating during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have the responsibility of maintaining a safe work environment for our employees, a responsibility we have always prioritized and have taken very seriously. One of the many ways we do this is by routinely deep cleaning our facilities. This past weekend we had a professional sanitation service disinfect the entire Torrance site using electrostatic spray machines. Electrostatic cleaning is a very effective meth...od of disinfecting the air and surfaces. All production areas, restrooms, offices, walkways, and air ducts were disinfected, and we were able to capture the recent Torrance site cleaning on video! Our Quality Team celebrated over three years with no injuries last week, a milestone we celebrated with catered lunch and LISI gear commemorating the event.
