I would say photos with your best friend have gotten a glow up since I was a teenager! Who else remembers heading to the mall with your sibling, besties or even your boyfriend??? You picked the backdrop (swirls, fire, stars, clouds and all the colors) the pose and how many you wanted printed and handed them out like candy to all your Friends. Oh man I can see the bangs in the eyes, crunchy or stick straight hair the car seat buckle and fabrics belts, solid t-shirts and jean...s. Oh man those photos covered my three ring binders. Who know what photos I’m talking about? Who knows the name of the place? ( for the life of me I can’t remember) Who had them done? Ans how many times? 9!!!!! My little bean is less little every day. He is obsessed with Legos and says that his job when he grows up is going to be a Lego builder. In his words I will go to peoples houses to build their Legos, they will pay me and I will leave I hope all his Lego building dreams come true. What time of year is the best for family sessions? Well that kind of depends, but stick with me while I answer some questions. I am a natural light photographer that shoots just before sunset. So at any time of the year you can calculate that your session will start about an hour and a half to two hours before the actual sunset time. ... Fall sessions can start as early as 3:00pm and summer sessions can start around 7:00 pm!! That’s a big difference. And so many things can be a factor. If you have little ones with early bed times then fall and winter may be better times of year for your session. But these early session can also clash with those kiddos that still take a second nap. *skipping naps can be cause for fussy babies. Or if your like me and live for a 3:00pm nap it can be a cause for a grumpy mamma.* If you have older kids or a family of night owls then summer and spring could be a great choice for you! But session times can clash with dinner times so you would have to plan dinner accordingly. *coming to a session hungry makes for some grumpy moods* You can always Google sunset times in [your area] to see if your desired month is going to work for your family. Or you can ask me! Keep in mind the 2 hours before sunset rule when you’re thinking of planning your family photos. According to that rule, what would be your ideal season for family photos?

One of my favorite traditions is watching The Holiday, drinking wine and wrapping gifts with my hubby on Christmas Eve. We both look forward to it every year. So now as we sit here snuggled, finishing our wine and movie and admiring our beautiful tree surrounded by gifts, I cannot wait for the morning. I cannot wait to see their joy and there isn’t any disappointment.
