2012 LINDSTROM RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY PINOT NOIR After the enthusiastic reception enjoyed by our first two vintages, we reluctantly decided not to offer a 2011 pinot noir under our flagship Lindstrom label because the cool, wet growing season yielded a wine that, while lovely, did not exude the voluptuous texture and layered complexity characteristic of our wines. By contrast, critics are hailing 2012 as one of the best pinot vintages in recent memory. The grapes for this limit...ed production wine were again sourced from Dutton Ranch and exhibit the classic varietal character associated with the pinot noirs from this acclaimed region. Our immensely talented winemaker, Celia Welch, has crafted a beautiful wine rivaling her past efforts in 2009 and 2010, with intense flavors that leave a lingering impression of velvet.
