This holiday season, break off a piece of delicious peppermint bark when you need a treat. Perfect for chocolate lovers, this homemade creation can be completed in 5 easy steps! Ingredients: - 25 Mini Candy Canes... - 4 Cups of Chocolate Chips - 1 Tsp of Peppermint Extract - 3 Cups of White Chocolate Chips Instructions: 1. Place mini candy canes together in a zip lock bag and use a rolling pin to crush them into pieces. 2. In a medium bowl, melt chocolate chips and stir in peppermint extract. Pour into parchment covered baking sheet and smooth with a spatula. Then freeze for 5 minutes. 3. In a separate bowl, melt white chocolate chips and layer mixture over hardened milk chocolate, flattening with spatula. 4. Spring crushed candy over the white chocolate and freeze for an hour or more, until solid. 5. Remove bark from the freezer and break into bite sized pieces or your preferred shape. Ingredients:... - 2 Cups of Vegetable Stock - 4 Cloves of Garlic - Large Carrot - 1 Green Apple - 1 Butternut Squash - 1 White Onion - 1 Sprig of Fresh Sage - 1/2 Tsp of Salt - 1/4 Tsp of Black Pepper - 1/8 Tsp of Cayenne - Pinch of Ground Cinnamon and Nutmeg - Garnish of Preference Directions: 1. Add vegetable stock, carrot, garlic, sage, apple, butternut squash, sage, onion, salt, pepper, cayenne, cinnamon, and nutmeg to a slow cooker, and toss until combined. 2. Cook 6-8 hours on low until the squash is completely tender. Remove excess sage and stir in coconut milk. 3. Use a blender to puree the solid food content from your soup. Be careful not to add too much hot liquid to the blend, then add puree mixture back to hot liquid and stir. 4. Serve warm and top with garnishes for the final touch!
