Reflecting back, it’s hard to believe we can be this resilient. A global pandemic hits and a sudden shut down. We didn’t even have a chance for a last service or a goodbye. We were unsure if we’d survive and many of our loved ones restaurants did not. Our hearts broke over and over again. Then came the devastating wildfires, thousands losing their homes and nobody will ever forget the day the sun never came up. We stood against racial injustice and created much needed good ...trouble. We somehow survived the stress and uneasiness of the election and then there was the loss of RBG and John Lewis. Through it all we worked, staying focused on survival and empathy. The gratitude is enormous. The support of our communities coming together is inspiring. Many of the things we’ve been through this year will stay with us and remind us to be caring, kind and giving. Our children will be formed by these experiences and memories. So much beauty was born out of these pains and losses. We must remember not all was bad. We must know this year was simply a reset button allowing us to step back and reflect on what needs to change. It will prove a constant reminder; we are not finished, rather just beginning. Thank you for keeping our doors open through the toughest time in our modern history. We’ve seen you day in and day out. So many of you coming repeatedly and dependably. Your visits, emails, cards and messages ballooned us with hope. Hope and gratitude is how we will enter 2021 - let’s do it fiercely and together
