Lights on Nome

Hi folks, unfortunately there will be no 2018 show since the display cannot take place at the original location and a new property couldn’t be located. Any further news will be posted on this page. Sorry for the inconvenience. We hope everyone enjoys the holidays.

You don’t want to miss Winterfest! The Redwood Valley Railway would like to invite everyone to our annual WinterFest! The weekend of December 9th and 10th, as well as the following weekend of the 16th and 17th Tilden Park Steam Train will be open 11am to 7pm. Tickets will be the same price as our regular ride. During twilight and evening hours, riders will be treated to our seasonal lighting and decorations. Also, come see Father Solstice ride on his carriage as he waves hello. We also recommend you bring a flashlight for the parking lot and warm clothes or a blanket to stay comfy. We really enjoy putting this event on and hope to see you all there!

Hello everyone and happy holidays. It is with great disappointment that I must share this news- Due to problems securing a location for the 2017 display, there will be none this season. Locations are being considered for a larger display in the 2018 holiday season. In the meantime, I highly recommend everyone visit the Tilden Park Steam Train’s Winterfest. Train rides will be available after dark until 7 PM on the second and third weekends of December 2017. The forest will... be covered in ornaments and father solstice will be riding around, interacting with spectators on his own train. Visible from the ride will be an outdoor miniature decorated village, a small project of mine to hold me over until next year.. If you like what you see, make sure to let one of the crewmembers know!
