MISSIONS WEEK IS HERE! In 1 Tim 2: 4 - the Apostle Paul shows us the heart of "God our Savior" - that He "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." So great is this desire, that in love God sent His only Son to die on the cross as a payment for sin and as a substitute for sinners like you and I. This is why missions in the local church matters - this is why we give & we go - this is why we offer prayers on behalf of all men, for kings and all who... are in authority - because of the cross, because we are the Household of God, because we are His children - and because we care for the same people and things our Heavenly Father cares about. Missions week exists to remind us of our calling as missionaries of Christ Jesus.
