Take the opportunity to invite your neighbors and unbelieving friends to come and worship with us and hear the good news of the gospel of Christ. Lunch will be served after service. We have been blessed to receive wonderful teachings from Matthew on Sundays, reflecting on the birth of the King and the new kingdom that He brings. Logos, our midweek bible study has been going through 1 Timothy 6, most recently learning that Christ cares about how we use our wealth. Our monthly Cornerstone ministry has been teaching through the family, with this month addressing "Gospel Correction". You can find all our sermons and teachings on our website. May the Word direct our lives and our thoughts towards our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. https://www.lbcsj.com/sermons
Are you a man or woman of God? Are you fleeing from sinful desires and pursuing Christlike desires? 1 Timothy 6:11-16 commands us to flee from sin and pursue godliness because we are of Christ and His household. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread." Isaiah 8:12-13 We don't have to follow the narrative of the world. God's Word indeed has all that we need for this life. Are you following along with our church as we read through "To Seek and To Save: The Daily Reflections on the Road to the Cross" in anticipation of Resurrection Sunday? Books are still available on Sundays as a gift for our 10 year anniversary. "She had lost sight of the Saviour in the service. Doing things for him had taken the place of being with him. That, after all, is 'the good portion' (v42). How often we make the same mistake as Martha!" Friends of the church can find... the book below. https://www.amazon.com/Seek-Save-Sinclair-B-Fe//1784984450
"The love of the cross is a love that makes us feel uncomfortable with ourselves. God's Word reminds us to place our hope in the justice and judgment of God. God's ways are always good by setting things straight." If you missed yesterday's sermon, listen here as he shares with us about the value and irreplaceable work of God's judgment and justice that is very unlike the judgment and justice of the world. https://www.lbcsj.com//2//the-god-who-saves-sinners-part-4
"Biblical meditation isn’t merely reading or studying God’s Word but musing and mulling over God’s Word whereby it grips our heart. In other words, its goal isn’t to fill the head but improve the heart." As we have been reminded through the many sermons this year, there's nothing more valuable to our eternal lives than to spend time with our Lord. Read the article to see how you might better invest your time today. https://biblicalcounseling.com//the-lost-art-of-bible-med/

MISSIONS WEEK IS HERE! In 1 Tim 2: 4 - the Apostle Paul shows us the heart of "God our Savior" - that He "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." So great is this desire, that in love God sent His only Son to die on the cross as a payment for sin and as a substitute for sinners like you and I. This is why missions in the local church matters - this is why we give & we go - this is why we offer prayers on behalf of all men, for kings and all who... are in authority - because of the cross, because we are the Household of God, because we are His children - and because we care for the same people and things our Heavenly Father cares about. Missions week exists to remind us of our calling as missionaries of Christ Jesus. So take some time this week - as we study together 1 Tim 2:1-8 at Logos, as we hear the testimony of the Morales family tonight at LOGOS, and as we hear about the Apostle Paul's heart for missions this coming Sunday as Ricardo Morales preaches- to pray for and consider the lost sheep the Lord has placed in your life (neighbors, family, co-workers) - and consider how the Lord is calling you, His child and missionary, to share in love the Good News of Jesus Christ with a world of sinners who so desperately need Jesus Christ. https://www.gracechurch.org/morales
