From Pain to Purpose; Creating Communities ...of Safety and Belonging is a gathering designed to honor African American Mental Health Awareness in Contra Costa County and beyond. This virtual gathering focused on healing is designed to acknowledge past hurts and pains experienced by African Americans as we champion moving toward a place of healing. Hosted by Gidared "Gigi" Crowder, Executive Director of NAMI CC and Taun Hall, Executive Director of The Miles Hall Foundation, with support and sponsoring from other like-minded allies and champions for change. Keynote Speaker: Kevin Washington, PhD, an African-Centered psychologist who has taught/lectured at several colleges nationally and internationally.
