Tuesday morning!

After just sitting in a stream for a while, I got to thinking... Maybe I should try skipping stones again? Teaching moments showing my boy a thing or two. He set the goal, past the stick in the pool... Took me a few tries, a few over 12 skips even, eventually past the goal. Good times.

Emotional Fitness... Are you ready for this? For all of you who want more presence for yourselves _and_ for your relationships... Let's play with this idea a little. How many of you have devoted some amount of time and energy towards your physical fitness? Regardless of reaching your goals, I imagine you developed a better relationship with your physical self, no?... Have you ever put as much attention towards your emotional self? Have you ever been coached, taught, or taken a class on developing your emotional self? Maybe you got a handle on your emotions as a child. Was that enough, or are you living adult lives with childish emotional development? I'll bet good money that you could benefit from a check up, or a tune up. And I'll offer this, that your entire life can improve if you further develop your emotional fitness. Go ahead, shoot for a personal trophy, the minor league... Heck go for the Majors, be a Pro! Doesn't it make sense that, if you developed your emotional self as fully as you did your academic or professional selves, that you'd be worthy of more respect, more value, more challenges, more experience? Hey, though, if you're happy with what you've got, then stop reading. Keep doing what you're doing, I'm sure everyone else will stop growing emotionally along with you. I'm sure that your intimate relations won't desire more. I'm sure you'll be just as satisfied as you get older, feeling the same emotional experiences as you've done since you were a child... Or, consider further development. That tune up, or maybe that extra lesson, just to see if you've got some chops, some talent to play with the big boys and girls. Talk to me, or anyone else that has the emotional development that you want. Look for those with high performing relationships, or those that seen to be experiencing life to its fullest. Don't you want that for yourself? Don't you deserve that? Wouldn't you like to play at a higher level of game?
