Big welcome to Dave our new Rider in our progression progression. Before our ride on the trail, I lined up Dave with our MTB Hopper jump ramps to work on his form and technique. Body positioning and timing is everything and getting him use to bigger gaps within this progression is crucial to hitting those giant tables and gaps seen at the bike park. To finish off the entire year of tours for 2021; Anne, Chad, and Mike brought out their family members to join us for an amazing, scenic electric mountain bike ride through the Malibu mountains. Chad’s family all had a background with BMX, so our e-Bikes were perfect for their family with the full-suspension to tackle anything on the trail. My lovely guest Anne (age 70), could not get enough of the downhill and voiced how safe she felt with our bikes on the trail. This family trio joined us for an scenic Malibu e-BIKE tour through the mountains that make up the majority of backbone trail. Visiting from Florida, I made sure to give Ellen’s family an experience they’ll forever hold on to with their LA experience. Unfortunately, with the cloudy weather the views were a little covered up during our tour. This Santa Cruz trip really left me blown away! There were some many new trails discovered as well as many new friendships made. I felt so felt so lucky to ride with such a great group of guys and gals. The camaraderie on the trail was much more I ever anticipated and the trails very heavenly! From endless single-track to the mind blowing features that surrounded the majority of trails we rode on, I still can’t get over the riding I experienced with these guys and girls. Nearing the end of 2021, this group ride in Santa Cruz has truly reshaped my perspective of mountain biking in California. Despite the challenges and bumps that were carried through 2021, this Santa Cruz trip was the absolute blast and best way to wrap up the year on a positive note.

With Santa Cruz being one of the epicenters of mountain biking, you’re constantly in awe by the abundance of trails that take you through the lush Redwood forests of NorCal. Aside from the gorgeous scenery of these forests, the iconic trails in Santa Cruz are filled with some of the best single-track and features you’ll find anywhere within the US. From the continuous flow to the technical drops, these NorCal trails all seem to carry a roller coaster aspect of thrill with tons of variety. Reliving my experience through the videos captured, constantly reminds me of how much I love mountain biking especially in UCSC. This is surely a trip I’ll never forget. November marks the month of some of the most insane riding for the year of 2021. Day one in Santa Cruz, we met up with one of our friends @benthieme5680 to shred it on the Flow Trail. Despite the long tedious climb up the fire road, it is all totally worth the reward of the abundance of trails to choose from. For riders who enjoy flow, the first option is the Flow Trail. And for riders who like tech with awesome wooded features, Braille would be the top choice. Spending hours... in the great forests of Santa Cruz, we recorded tons of runs on the Flow Trail, switched from Braille to Sawpit (being one of my favorites). Nothing beats flying down the mountain with your hands off the brakes and allowing gravity to take its course. The feeling of riding on these trails is unbeatable and doesn’t compare to any thrill you’ll experience in California. If you call yourself an avid mountain biker, do yourself a favor and make your way to the trails out in Santa Cruz. It will surely change your life. See more

I had the pleasure of taking Karen’s family on an electric mountain bike tour ending their week long visit from Michigan. With the warm temperatures in Malibu, we were lucky enough to have some fresh breeze cool us off towards our destination. The clear, blue skies allowed us to admire the distant islands of Catalina and the ocean waters of the Pacific. The highlight of last weekend was seeing how well our riders in our progression program performed on Webb Canyon. After weeks of training on numerous trails and tackling a variety of terrain it was time to test their skills on a serious advanced trail. Webb Canyon is known for having a variety of challenging features, steep descents,and a mix of terrain.
