Because Jesus wept upon seeing the pain and destruction caused to those He loved in John 11, He became a faithful, sympathetic High Priest who relates with our suffering. Jesus once stood in lowliness and weakness under the cruel hand of death, but now He stands exalted at the right hand of God. He is not crying in sorrow as He did, but because He did, He now cries out in authority as He intercedes for you daily as your Advocate, moment by moment, upholding you and carrying you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkqS1VwQK0w&feature=youtu.be

EDIT: I accidentally posted last week's sermon with this description. Below is the REAL sermon for this topic our salvation being secure... If you could lose your salvation, you would. The only reason you continue forward is because Jesus has promised that you would. He tells us, "My Father is greater than all, and no one will snatch them out of His hands," and "they will never perish," and elsewhere in the Word we are told that "nothing can separate us from the love of Chris...t," and that we have been "sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is a guarantee of our inheritance." But you won't lose it, and you can't lose it, because it is not yours to lose. You've been given to Christ from the Father, and He has promised to keep every one and not lose any. Your inheritance is kept in heaven for you by the power of God until the day you receive it. https://www.youtube.com/watch

There are so many things that promise us comfort, satisfaction, fulfillment, protection, happiness, and joy; they promise to be "good shepherds" that provide for all of our deepest needs and desires. But these are false shepherds that only draw us away from the one true Good Shepherd who can truly provide for our needs; the One who leads us, guides us, and even lays His own life down for us, so that we can have what He has: life everlasting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEU5gFRhuU8&feature=youtu.be

Are you living open-handedly for the sake of the Gospel? Jesus tells us that if we want to be his disciples, we must deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow him. In this sermon, Pastor Casey examines a life poured out for the Gospel, which is one that is self-denying, avoids worldliness, and centers its hope on a future citizenship in Heaven. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj8UqjIMsWM&feature=youtu.be

We had an AWESOME surprise gift yesterday! Matt and Alison were able to join us LIVE to lead us in worship at church for the first time in months! Our tech crew came up with a creative solution to give them the world's biggest mask: a wall! They set up in the room behind the stage to keep them safe for Brayleigh's sake as live video and audio was piped into the hall where we were, and a camera on the congregation was projected into their room so they could see us. If you clos...ed your eyes you would have thought they were right on stage in the room with us! What a great joy to have the blessing of these two with us once again! Social distance church has not been easy... it has been so straining, but it is gifts like these that remind you of why you are a church and why you stick together through everything. Unbelievable to have them back in this way! See more

We often feel discouraged in our faith, weak in our fight against sin and ability to see positive change. We often may think that other Christians are "varsity level" Christians because they have passion, self-control, and giftedness we don't have. But Jesus has promised that every single person who has come to Him will be given a gift, and that gift is the Holy Spirit. He has been given to be your Helper, Guide, and your seal and guarantee of your salvation and eternal inheritance. You will never walk alone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbIBYzlQDJI&t=7s

We tend to only see what we want to see, or what we have trained ourselves to see. When we hear something we don't like, we find ways to have it not apply to us. Our inner lawyer comes out to defend us and get us off the hook. But Jesus came to set us free from this spiritual blindness and hypocrisy. He came to shine light into darkness and give us real life and freedom. Following Jesus means letting Him expose your sin, your blind spots, hypocrisy, comforts, selfish preferences, past disappointments, weaknesses, misguided desires, missed opportunities and regrets, wishful thinking, judgementalism, and any other idolatries in our hearts. Come to Him. He can set you free. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OC9lrXpaFA
