While we respect everyone's right to protest and speak out about the awful acts of violence that occur across this country, we cannot condone the damage inflicted upon the quiet town of La Mesa. Being La Mesa natives, it was heartbreaking to see the damage inflicted first hand, as we aided countless people in the efforts to clean up and begin to restore this wonderful city to it's former luster. This effort will undoubtedly take time, just as the effort to eliminate racism a...nd hate in this country will unfortunately take time.
