It is with deep sadness that we learned about the passing of Lodwrick "Lod" Cook. Through his vision, and his action in response to the Los Angeles Central Library fire in 1986, he founded the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. His goal to "Save the Books" and ensure the Los Angeles Public Library be rebuilt and equipped to continue supporting Angelenos is what led to the Library Foundation's creation.
