Libra Music

I had a great week, participated in an out standing recording For an upcoming double CD, on the French horn and Reconnected with a well known hit making R&B producer that I worked with in the past. We'll see how that goes; but most of all I'm excited about the recording. That's all from Libra music for now.

On a summer break from The Orchestras and bands that I play with on a regular basis. However I do plan to stop by a few clubs and open Jam spots to improve my improvisational skills.

Hi, thanks for stopping by to check out my page. Sorry, but I don't post just for the sake of posting (not thirsty for likes,etc; but definitely appreciate those that I get, especially from those who have a "real" knowledge of the ART. When I do something that I think might be of community interest I will share it. Again thanks for your interest. I'm really working on improving my improvisational skills on trumpet, on my sound and expression on French Horn by going back to "basics". My biggest focus is learning and utilizing my production skills so I can release and share with the world a lot of the new and unreleased music that's here in "the vault". Love to all and thanks!

COME HAVE SOME HOLIDAY FUN!

I had a very welcome and unexpected surprise today. As I was preparing to enter our practice facility I heard AFRIKANO, one of my favorite Earth Wind And Fire s...ongs. I was thinking that it was one of the many bands at the union playing this tune; but after looking through the window, it ACTUALLY WAS the EWF HORNS. I was invited in after asking and had fun "kickin" it and listening.It was so good to run into the fellows again ; so I ended up hanging out with them, laughing, talking and sitting in on their rehearsal. I haven't posted in awhile; but I'm still here "yearnin', learnin' and growing in my craft. I'm the principal French Horn player in (2) groups and focusing more on my vocal skills as well. I still plan to release the single that I wrote along with my friend, Sheldon Reynolds, formerly of EWF as soon as it's feasible to do so. It has been delayed for a variety of reasons. The mediums that promoted and played this music on the radio, and the record companies are not as supportive as they once were of anything more than "Pop", and Rap. Notice I didn't say Hip-Hop. A lot of fans(especially older ones), think that they are the same; but they are not. Hip-Hop is the umbrella category and Rap is one of the genres under that umbrella. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I haven't been recording anything lately, just been working on certain musical skills, having fun sitting in at a jam session in the local area and elevating my playing to artist level with the symphony that I perform with. Will record a few previously written tunes later this year. Have a great summer, and thanks for supporting Libra Music.
