#FNX & #KVCR is in need of public comments of support. FNX also known as the #FirstNationExperience is the first and only public broadcasting station focusing ...on Indigenous and Native people, their stories, struggles and perspective. You can support them NOW by submitting a public comment calling for their protection, continuous funding and support from the San Bernardino Community College District and KVCR Public TV station. The staff, community and most importantly the voices of Native people across the continent are calling for leaders to safeguard this vital public service #FNXTV Thank you for making your voice heard & if you haven't seen the programming please take a look online 24/7 to see what you are missing: https://fnx.org/watch/ E-mail public comments to [email protected] and watch the public meeting for SBCCD Board of Trustees on October 8, 2020 at 4:00 PM Via Zoom: https://cccconfer.zoom.us/j/549366869 Dial: (669) 900-6833 or (346) 248-7799 Meeting ID: 549 366 869 See more

There is no gray area... there is no middle ground... you must get off of the fence!!! As educators, teachers, support staff at every campus from higher ed to p...re-K or even as students yourselves... #BeTheRevolutionary <3 **Image depicts a quote from #LeroneBennett Jr. (October 17, 1928 February 14, 2018) an African-American scholar, author and social historian, known for his analysis of race relations in the United States. "An educator in a system of oppression is either a revolutionary or an oppressor." **

SBVC Virtual Commencement - May 22, 2020 Dear SBVC Family, After much discussion within and throughout our campus community, we have come to the decision that S...an Bernardino Valley College’s 93rd Commencement will be taking place virtually on May 22, 2020 at 9:00am. The ceremony will be accessible directly on our website at www.valleycollege.edu, and all graduates, employees, and their families will have the opportunity to tune in and participate remotely from the safety of their personal computers or smartphones. Commencement is the most important celebration of the year for every one of us because it acknowledges the amazing successes of the Class of 2020one of the most remarkable graduating classes in our college’s historynot only because of our students’ astonishing academic achievements, but also their resilience and dedication in the face of one of the most difficult global crises in recent memory. Just like many other colleges across the world, we have found ourselves with the challenge of continuing to provide instruction and student services almost completely remotely in order to minimize any potential delays in graduating our students on time, and to allow our graduates to enter the workforce or continue their studies at universities with as little impact to their academic progress as possible. Moving our Commencement to a virtual format has been a very difficult decision to make, but one that has become necessary to slow the spread of COVID-19, which continues to be a major threat to public health in our community and across our nation. More information about the virtual format of Commencement will be coming to your inbox very soon, so please watch out for it. Although I am saddened that I will not have the opportunity to physically walk across the stage and celebrate with you in person this year, I am excited that we still have the opportunity to celebrate the Class of 2020 in a special way as we plan our college’s first-ever virtual Commencement ceremony. Thank you so much for your hard work and perseverance this semester, and I look forward to seeing you virtually at Commencement! #SBVCStrong Diana Diana Z.
