As a company, we’re taking the time to listen to our employees and our communities, hear their concerns, and stand together in the face of adversity. We have prided ourselves for decades on being a brand that champions equality but we acknowledge that it’s not enough. We know that change doesn’t happen overnight, we know we have a lot of work to do. As we learn how to ensure that we’re doing everything in our power to facilitate this for our employees, consumers, and our indu...stry, we invite you to tune in as we share our platform with Black leaders, activists, educators, and organizers for a series of conversations around fighting systemic racism. Tune in to learn more on how we can effect change. Our first of many discussions will be tomorrow, June 5th at 10am PDT. #UseYourVoice to bring lasting change by voting. We have work to do we must do better.

The events of the past week have shined a spotlight on the systemic racism and injustices directed at the Black community throughout our nation’s history. In response to the heightened moment of tension playing out in cities across the U.S., LS&Co. is making a $100,000 donation to our longstanding partner, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). In addition, the Levi Strauss Foundation is making a $100,000 grant to Live Free, an organization on the front lines of social-justice issues. The organization is led by Pastor Mike McBride, who is part of our foundation’s Pioneers in Justice initiative, which supports next-generation civil rights activists. The foundation has invested $7.3 million in this initiative over the past 10 years.

One day soon we will dance together again. We’re getting back to life and opening up again, but things will look a little different. What Levi’s has done and what we’ll start doing in this new phase of normal. Our letter to the community. https://bit.ly/2TKRmbq
