Or maybe even right at the tippy top What it means to prioritize yourself will look different for everyone and may even differ day to day... For me, I am looking to find better overall BALANCE in my life this year In January 2020, I dove head-first into my business and in a lot of ways, I feel like I haven’t come up for air since. I’m a Type A, all or nothing girl, so I prioritized pursuing my biz over almost everything else in my life. Although I have such a sense o...f gratification about this past year, I’m wise enough and in tune enough to know that I also suffered. Mostly my sanity and my ability to be undistracted and available to my family, loved ones and even myself. Zero down time makes for a brain and body that never stops. Although I love to be in motion, I realized that the constant grind was too much. SO... while taking care of my health through clean eating and daily exercise are at the top of my list, so is slowing down a bit this year. Spending more quality time being PRESENT (and off my phone) with the ones I love. Learning to not feel guilty about doing nothing every now and then. Taking time to smell the and maybe watch a TV show (since I literally haven’t watched television in over a year ). Basically just enjoy life with a more balanced approach! What does placing yourself higher on your to do list look like to you in 2021? I’d love to hear! 2021 I am so ready for you!!! I’m coming at you head-on! During this last week of 2020, I’ll be doing a lot of reflecting... So many people say that 2020 was a shit year and I’ll be honest that for me it wasn’t all bad. In fact, I am incredibly grateful for 2020 and all of lessons it has taught me. This year has pushed me to my limits for sure, but I have learned and grown SO much personally and professionally. I’m recognizing and honoring my resilience and newfound... flexibility (I’m not just talking about stretching ). My ability to pivot and turn (another pun with my dance background ) and take all the lemons that 2020 dealt me and make them into lemonade is something I’m really proud of I’m not a bragger and have always been super humble. That personality trait is such a quality, but it also held me back for many years about moving into this virtual space and launching my own brand. I always looked at Instagram as such a narcissistic world of posting selfies and talking about oneself. But I knew in my heart I had so much I wanted to share and that it came from the most selfless place. 2020 forced me to dig deep, be bold, courageous and confident enough to put myself out there/here. Everyday I try to share positivity and light and help improve people’s quality of life with what I share. I am really freaking proud of what I do here and I want to thank you for being on this journey with me. For listening, caring, engaging- I do it for you and to know that I’m making a difference is why I’m here. So after this long rant, I just want to say a huge thank you to 2020. I’m taking time to practice lots of gratitude this final week of the year. I am also looking ahead with much excitement to 2021 and setting goals and intentions to start the new year off right. Speaking of that, today is the last day to sign up for our January LEVEL UP Whole30 Challenge! I am SO ready for it and know that a fresh, clean, and energized start to January will set the tone for all of 2021. Join me! DM for details LEVEL UP ONLINE this New Year! For all the Mamas out there feeling the post-Christmas depression today... I saw this as I was scrolling through Instagram and I just had to share it too. Reading this made me feel even more love and gratitude for my Mom who always brought the magic and for all of my fellow Mamas who I admire and respect. We do it ALL and if you haven’t heard it enough- you are amazing, irreplaceable and should be proud of everything you accomplished this holiday season (and the whole year th...rough!)! This year, during a time when we may not have felt like our true joyful selves , we still made it happen for our loved ones. Sending my love to you today as you reflect back on a day that you put so much effort into, yet flew by in a flash. Your children won’t remember what gifts they received for their Covid Christmas but they’ll remember the magic was still there
