Let's Dance, Redding

***All Let's Dance gatherings are cancelled through (at least) April 15.*** We love you, and we're sad about this, too. But now's probably not a good time for large dance gatherings. ;-) In the meantime, we encourage you to dance at home; there are a great number of YouTube resources for drills, lessons, etc. that can help make your practice time better, even if we can't meet together. Check out Downtown Dance's recent post, "Dancer's Guide to Quarantine," for some great idea...s, too! (Link below.) And above all, continue to live in joy. One of the reasons that dance is so powerful is that it releases joy, and joy is powerful, especially in the face of despair. Don't think there's a reason for joy with all this craziness going on? Think again. Joy doesn't ignore the problems; it just focuses on a deeper reality than the problems. And if you still can't find a good reason for joy, message us; I'd love to chat. EDIT: Due to the close proximity of dance and out of an abundance of caution (granted, caution with short notice), dance is canceled tonight, March 12. We'll watch how the public health outlook changes over the course of this next week and make decisions about next week and beyond as events unfold. Stay tuned here on our Facebook page for updates.
