Mortgage rates advance for fourth straight week and for good reason. According to January employment report, Americans are making more money. However, this may also mean that it may be the last opportunity for some to refinance and lower their rate or to get out of their current variable program. Further, for the buyers in the market, between a lack of inventory and higher rates, as the article states, they will have to dig deeper to become homeowners.

A small improvement in rates is better then what we’ve seen the last few weeks.
