At the mansion today...Congressman Ami Bera

A busy day at the mansion with a visit from António Costa, Prime Minister of Portugal. His picture in the garden with the backdrop of the beautiful hydrangeas was a reminder to him of the blue hydrangeas that flourish in the Azores! ...having been introduced to the Azores, H. macrophylla is now very common, particularly on Faial, which is known as the "blue island" due to the vast number of hydrangeas present on the island.
