Legacy Machining Methods, Inc. 05.03.2021

We are celebrating today. We hit a milestone. It was 30 years ago today that I struck out on my own. It was a very humble beginning. I will be honest and admit I didn't consider just how risky what I did was. Fortunately, between a lot of hard work and very long days and nights, along with God's grace, it all worked out. Just to give you an idea what it looked like, I have a shot taken in my shop called Western Engravers at the time 1989. I have also included pictures of the ...shop we had in 2010. I can't believe all that unfolded along the way. We have survived multiple recessions and severe financial scenarios that should have taken me out, but for one reason or another we got through. Thanks to family and friends that believed in me. For that I count my blessings every day. Thank you to all who have come along side me over the years and made the critical difference. I need to make a special shout out to my former business partner Mike Coldwell who joined me in 2005 and together we were able to grow and buy a building and put together a beautiful shop capable of producing a significant volume of work. Unfortunately, that version of my company had to close due to the severe military cut backs of the Obama administration forcing our hand. I am now operating under the name Legacy Machining Methods, Inc. where we seem to stay fairly busy. I am very thankful. Enjoy the pictures. See more

My programmer Oscar with his work in progress. These housings will be running unattended for 12 hours at a time in my pallet pool! Lights out manufacturing is what we call it. It’s the only way to survive anymore in the manufacturing world.
