{ N A P transition } This is it. After going back and forth between 2 naps and 1, it’s happening. At 16 months, little Eva is officially on one nap. - - - Always allow your baby to show you that she’s ready to switch over. Some sign to look out for are...... - - 1 The second nap of the day is met with lots of protest, meaning baby just fights it and doesn’t want to sleep (when before she was completely okay with it). This should also go on for at least a week or 2 to make this call. - - 2 It could also be that there isn’t any protest at all but she happily plays in her crib for an hour and never ends of sleeping. - - - 3She’s capable of sleeping longer stretches, sometimes 2-3 hours when put down slightly later for her morning nap. - - - Most babies will drop their second nap between 14-16 months, sometimes as early as 12, or as late as 18 months. - - Many babies experience a sleep regression during 12 months and it’s common to assume that the 2nd nap should be over, but hang on to that nap mama, it could be too early and you’ll have an overtired baby to entertain. - - - When did you little one drop that second nap? { SLEEP consultation } I get a lot of questions about how the process works and I just wanted to share a little bit from beginning to end. - 1Book a free evaluation. You can use the link to set up a time that works for both of us so I can learn more about your baby ( I do want to mention that it isn’t quite meant for an advice call) I have that option also, so ask - 2 Questionnaire- I will email you a questionnaire to be filled out and returned all about your babies da...y and sleep habits. - 3 consult day- we decide on a start date and a consultation in which I go over every detail of our sleep plan for about an hour 4support- I support you for 2 weeks with email, texts, phone calls , and follow a sleep log that you fill out. Basically, we become good friends - - With the 10% going on this week through Friday, who’s ready to get this process going? - Tag a mama who’s been thinking about this and might need just a little something extra to start

{ R O O M sharing } didn’t go quite as I had wanted, even for a sleep consultant. So consultant confessions... we’re back to our old set up with Nico in his own room. - - - Normally when you move them together, it takes some time to adjust and things become the new normal. ... - - -However, after 2 weeks, I felt bad that Eva’s early morning wake ups (6am) was causing Nico to miss out on 2 good hours of morning sleep. Even though I would quickly get her out, she would be babbling and calling for me which, even with a white noise machine on, would cause Nico to wake up. To solve this, I had his okay to wake clock going to have him stay in bed until 7, but he would just lay there and not actually fall back asleep. - - - Eva’s early morning babbles are stinkin’ adorable but not at the cost of Nico’s sleep, so we’re back to normal programming and we’ll try again in a few more months. - - - How old were your little ones when you put them in the same room together. { B I G DAY } with big lessons learned. Today was Nico’s school performance and it’s been a stressful week for him. He was incredibly nervous, but he did it! He smiled the entire time and kept looking over and giving me a thumbs up to make sure that I knew he was alright. - - - The big lesson for me today was that these days matter, and they don’t happen every day. I actually ALMOST didn’t make it today and I honestly would have been heartbroken. ... - - - So for the working mama, the sacrifices are tough and it’s hard to show up for all areas of your life, but just take the day off and be there. Heck, just take a day off here and there and do something exciting with your little one or even for yourself. - - - Work’s work. It’ll be there when you’re back. These days- they aren’t coming back. - - - Where are all the working mamas out there? See more

{ S P R I N G forward} this Sunday... - - - While for you and I this means sunnier evenings and time to bring out the crisp white jeans, for baby, this means adjusting to a whole new schedule. ... - - Not to worry mamas, especially those of early risers! - All of a sudden, your 5 am riser is waking up at 6 am, (I told you I work wonders around here ) Here is one of three things you can do. 1 shift you little one’s entire schedule gradually. So for example, if your baby was going to sleep at 7 p.m., put your baby to sleep at 7:30 a few days before the actual time change. Then shift the next day's schedule by 15 more lminutes. - - 2Wait until the time change to adjust baby’s bedtime. So really, You don’t do anything. You put baby down according to the new time and give it a few days for baby to adjust. - - - 3Don’t worry. Of the daylight savings changes, this is the better of the 2, except the fact that your toddler who goes to bed at 7, doesn’t want to go sleep when it’s still light out . - - - It should take about a week to adjust to the new schedule and that strong internal clock will need some time. - - - Never mind this time change, who’s excited for all the pretty blooms, longer days, and the pastels? @ Live Love Play
