It's official. 2005, 2013, and now... 2019. This is a day that's been 5-years in the making. Every year the U. S. Department of Education seeks out and celebrates the best of the best of American schools with the National Blue Ribbon award. National Blue Ribbon schools serve as models of effective school practices for state, district educators, and other schools throughout the nation. We were just announced as one of the 362 schools - out of 132,800+ public AND private sc...hools across the country - to receive the National Blue Ribbon award. This makes us the one of the top 0.002% of ALL schools this year to be awarded this distinction. To be awarded once is an achievement in itself... BUT to win it THREE TIMES. WOW!!! Some call that a 'dynasty'. =) And just for reference, Whitney High School, arguably the top California high school, has just one more than us. This is a great recognition that should be celebrated by all - including administrators, teacher, students, and parents, alike. We did this together, and we all should be very proud ourselves.
