We appreciate all of you who are excitedly awaiting our cherry season opening. We have lots of beautiful cherries in various stages of ripening but the fruit still needs at least a week or two for the earlier fruit that is pink or bright red now to ripen to red/dark red. Our fruit tends to come in later, which tends to save us from late rain cherry splitting/damage. Please continue to watch our Facebook and website www.gilroycherries.com for announcements about opening day..., hours, instructions before coming out. We will most likely ask people to bring their own buckets/containers to streamline the checkout process and also so only the buyer touches their fruit/containers. (We will likely have some bags on hand though for those who do not have a container.) We look forward to having you all come and enjoy picking in our beautiful orchard and the fun of being on a farm. We are on schedule for a very late May, to first half of June opening for cherry season, and will keep you updated as the cherry trees progress. Currently the orchard is in full bloom and the bees are busy pollenating. If you are bored at home we will post videos of life and work on the farm from time to time for your enjoyment, so check back on our Facebook page.

We are now CLOSED for the 2019 season and what an amazing and long season it was! Check back for 2020 season opening date sometime in May/June 2020. Thank you to all the wonderful people that came out and enjoyed cherry picking and the farm, the animals. It is truly a joy to see people, families, children from all over the world enjoying God’s creation! Hope to see you all again next year!
