Huge congratulations to the men of Los Angeles Wrestling Academy for coming home with 3 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal at the West Coast Clash Wrestling Invitationals in San Diego, CA this pasts weekend. This was our 1st competition of the season and our warriors did an incredible job. The gold medalists were Anemar Akoshali 56 lbs champion with 4 wins including 2 pins, Almanbet Azamatov 62 lbs champion with 3 wins including 2 pins and Daniel Sandoval 85 lbs champion pin...ning all 4 of his opponents. Yanar Akoshali 77 lbs claimed silver and Edward Akopov 56 lbs (advanced category) and one of the toughest groups of the competition captured bronze with 2 wins. Very proud of Miles Miller 67 lds and Baiel Abalov 92 lbs both boys had a very difficult bracket, they fought hard and won some major matches against some of the best wrestlers in California finishing in close 4th in their respected weight class. Great job guys keep working hard and get better. The boys travel to Norco, CA this Sunday for the CAGWA League opener the NWA Invitational. Good luck guys. Dear Rhythmic Academy Parents, Due to the increased threat of the corona virus and all LAUSD schools being closed we will be suspending all Rhythmic Gymnastics and Wrestling training in Van Nuys for two weeks effective Saturday March 14th (Temple City effective March 13th), normal practice for both clubs will resume on April 1st, 2020. It is impossible to maintain the CDC recommendations and keep the kids safe in a gym environment. This decision did not come easy for us, but ...after careful consideration and talking to other Southern California clubs as well as the Region 1 Committee Chair, we realized it was the best decision to keep the kids healthy and safe!!! We will be sending daily updates for things kids can work on at home so they can stay in shape! Also we will prorate all April tuition for 2 weeks. Awesome job to the men of Los Angeles Wrestling Academy for coming home with 1 Gold, 2 Silver, 1 Bronze medal and two 4th place finishes at the CAGWA NWA Invitational - Norco, CA this pasts weekend. This was our 2nd competition of the season and our killers did a fantastic job. HUGE Congratulations to Almanbet Azamatov (advanced category) for winning his 2nd gold medal of the season at 62 lbs by dominating his openets with a quick pins and technical falls. Grig Grigoryan was ...outstanding at 52 lbs and showed great improvement from the previous week by winning the silver medal. Anemar Akoshali 56 lbs was on fire the entire competition to claim a silver medal. Edward Akopov 56 lbs (advanced category) once again found himself in the biggest and toughest group of the competition, he captured bronze with 2 strong wins. Yanar Akoshali 77 lbs and Baiel Abalov 92 lbs (advanced category) showed huge improvement to claim 4th place in their respected weight class Melik Hakobyan had his wrestling debut at 134 lbs weigh class and fought hard all 3 of his opponents, with hard work and experience he will be a great wrestler. Very proud of Daniel Sandoval 77 lbs, he had a very difficult competition and came 2 points away from making the finals in a very hard fought close match. Great job guys keep working hard and get better. The boys travel to Covina, CA on Sunday December 15th for the CAGWA Jesse Cruz Memorial Invitational. Good luck guys.
