Road trip!! ...ended last night. Got back to my home base of Los Angeles late last night after logging a total of 3,526 miles! The trip was great and I'm so happy I made the venture! My biggest regret is that somewhere above the Bay Area between Valley Ford and Bloomfield I managed to miss a turn necessary to stay on CA Highway 1, "CA-1". I didn't notice that I had missed the turn until some miles later and unfortunately I decided to just cut over to US Highway 101 and co...me down directly into the Bay Area rather than turn around and eventually get back onto the CA-1 and continue with the plan of taking the CA-1 literally all the way down until it drops you into San Francisco. I'm next-to-certain that I missed some of the best stretches of highway as a result of this lapse of judgment...shucks. That being said, the parts of CA Highway 1 North of San Francisco to Oregon that I drove had some of the most beautiful, picturesque high seaside cliffs I've ever seen (pictures of) and I'd definitely recommend a trip on the CA-1 from San Francisco all the way up to the Oregon border if you are ever looking for a way to totally de-stress and re-energize yourself! Also, I can't not mention the redwoods....wow!!! Trees so large you can literally drive a large SUV right through the middle of their trunks! Although the road trip was irreplaceable, I am glad to be back so that I can keep up the battle against law-breaking employers. I feel it's only fitting to give a tribute to the city/county I safely returned to after 13 and half days on the road....Good 'ol Los Angeles County!!
