Supervisor Scott Wiener has vowed to make Upper Market Street safer for pedestrians and bicyclists. Most of Upper Market’s intersections converge with two other streets, creating six way intersections. Phase I of improvements was implemented about a year ago, consisting of painted sidewalk extensions (a.k.a. safety zones), high-visibility crosswalks, and signs prohibiting drivers from turning right at red lights. For me, the most disturbing part about "Making a Murderer" was the circumstances surrounding Dassey's coerced confession.
