The client, a Real Estate Broker in Los Angeles, was convicted of two misdemeanor offenses; Violating a Restraining Order and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person. The client failed to report his misdemeanor convictions to the California Department of Real Estate within 30 days as required by law. The California Department of Real Estate agreed that the two misdemeanor offenses were not substantially related to the duties, functions and qualifications of a Real Estate Agent. The DRE agreed not to impose discipline against the client.

The California Board of Registered Nursing filed an Accusation against a Registered Nurse in Kern County. The Registered Nurse had been convicted of misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, with a Blood Alcohol Content exceeding 0.15%. Prior to a Hearing at the Office of Administrative Hearings in Los Angeles, BRN and the client entered into a settlement, called a Stipulated Agreement, for a Rule Out, allowing the Registered Nurse to potentially obtain a Public Reproval/Reprimand.

The client, a Plumbing Contractor in Los Angeles, was convicted of felony Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felon in Possession of Ammunition. The Contractors State License Board filed a disciplinary Accusation, seeking to revoke the Contractor's License. CSLB and the Attorney General's Office would not agree to a settlement with the client. The matter proceeded to a Hearing before an Administrative Law Judge at the Office of Administrative Hearings in Los Angeles. Subsequent to the Hearing, the Administrative Law Judge placed the Contractor on probation with CSLB.

The Los Angeles based client applied for a Registered Nurse license to the California Board of Registered Nursing. The client had two convictions for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and one arrest for Domestic Violence. As a result, the BRN denied licensure. The matter proceeded to a Statement of Issues. After a review of the evidence, the Board of Registered Nursing dismissed the Statement of Issues. The client received a full Registered Nurse License.

The client, an Osteopathic Physician (D.O.) in Los Angeles, received a Complaint from the Osteopathic Medical Board of California. The Complaint alleged that the Osteopathic Doctor failed to supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners at a Pain Management Clinic. The Osteopathic Physician resolved the matter with the Osteopathic Medical Board of California for a Citation for a regulatory violation.

The client, a traveling Registered Nurse in Los Angeles and San Jose, received a Complaint from the California Board of Registered Nursing. A disgruntled ex boyfriend made four allegations against the Registered Nurse, including allegations of forgery and theft. The BRN conducted an extensive investigation. After assisting the client in disproving the allegations, the Board of Registered Nursing closed the investigation without imposing discipline.

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing conducted an investigation against a Principal in Santa Clarita. The Principal was accused of sexual harassment of a female student and inappropriate communications with a female student. A review of the evidence showed that the Principal had not committed the alleged acts. The CTC closed the Complaint without the imposition of discipline.

The California Contractors State License Board filed a disciplinary Accusation against a Los Angeles General Contractor. The Contractor was already subject to a disciplinary order of probation from a prior CSLB Accusation. In this matter, the Contractor allegedly departed from accepted trade standards by failing to properly grade soil to build a home. CSLB agreed to a second probationary disciplinary order for the Contractor.

The client, an attorney, received a mandatory Reportable Action for bouncing a check to his Attorney Client Trust Account due to insufficient funds. The State Bar of California's Office of Chief Trial Counsel conducted a comprehensive investigation. OCTC believed that the attorney had misappropriated funds. A review of the evidence showed the State Bar that the attorney did not misappropriate funds and had merely made an accounting error. The State Bar of California closed the Reportable Action with a Warning Letter.

The client had been convicted of a federal misdemeanor white collar criminal offense and failed to properly disclose the conviction on her NMLS application. A Hearing was set before an Administrative Law Judge at the Office of Administrative Hearings in Los Angeles. Due to significant rehabilitation efforts, DBO agreed to grant the client an MLO pursuant to a Consent Order.

Due to significant rehabilitation efforts, CSLB agreed to place the Contractor on disciplinary probation prior to the Hearing.
