Breaking News: The California 3rd District Court of Appeal opinion in People v. Thomas (C083845) was ordered published on 12/10/18 and just became final on 1/28/19. This means other litigants can cite the case now in support of their own defense in 4th Amendment search and seizure cases. The case is extremely useful for any litigant who wants to argue he was subject to an unlawful search and seizure based on (a) a vague report of criminality; (b) a vague description of physical appearance; and/or (c) a stale report of minor past misconduct.
