We will be back in court in December, and for as long and as often as it takes to seek justice for Sandra.

Bob Tyler and I were at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, defending a pastor who was illegally arrested by a CHP officer for reading the Bible aloud at a DMV office. The pastor was arrested early morning hours while the DMV had not yet opened for business. We tried our best to convince both the CHP and the DA’s Office that, what made this arrest so egregious, was that the CHP officer justified his arrest with false evidence. We also offered to dismiss our lawsuit... for free in exchange for an apology and a promise to better train their officers. The CHP refused. The Court of Appeals saw right through the CHP’s arguments and stated that the officer’s version of events was belied by video and audio footage. The Court also ordered the CHP to reimburse us for all our expenses and the hundreds of hours we spent to see the case through.

For those of you that follow the national news, you might have heard of a company called Fusion GPS, which was hired by the Clinton Campaign and the Democratic Nation Convention to compile the "Trump Dossier". What is less known, is that Fusion GPS was also hired by Planned Parenthood for a political hit job on the videos made by our client, Sandra Merritt and her co-defendant, David Daleiden. Sandra's case is currently before the California Supreme Court on a Petition for Review. We anticipate a ruling by April. https://www.washingtontimes.com//planned-parenthood-hired/

When the prosecutor is trying to convict and lock-up a person, the answer should be a resounding "YES". Instead, it's a shameful "not really".

Former LA County District Attorney, Steve Cooley, recently finished writing a book titled "Blue Lives Matter - In the Line of Duty". It comes out in November. Sounds like it's going to be a great read for everyone, but especially for prosecutors, cops and defense lawyers alike. Yesterday (October 2nd) we a filed a Petition for a Writ of Mandate which challenges the San Francisco Superior Court's refusal to dismiss the Amended Complaint that the prosecutor failed to refile within the time prescribed by law. The Court must obey the law. It is irresponsible practice when the law says one thing and courts do another.
