Laverne Vineyards

A little earlier than last year, but we’re not complaining!

Barrel taste of what will be known as LaVerne Vineyards ‘Covid 2020.’ Turning out to be a wonderfully fruit-forward Pinot with hints of spice and bell pepper on the nose. ‘17, ‘18 & ‘19 are getting jealous. The ‘18 Chardonnay could care less.

Cool night and a warm fire at LaVerne Vineyards. Too many empty chairs by the fire these days. Damn you Covid!

So far so good at LaVerne Vineyards. The fire is quite a ways away from us, but like all good plans we have made sure the essentials are ready to go!!

Another day of social distancing at LaVerne Vineyards. The grapes continue to darken as the sugar content goes up. Working from the patio isn’t all that bad!

We've picked, de-stemmed and lightly crushed, fermented (primary, secondary and malolactic), pressed and racked. 2020 is on the way! This years name? Covid, of course!!
